Yesterday server down
Sorry about the lack of warning, but yesterday BM was down for a few hours as I pulled out the old dead servers, from 15 years of being in the same server colocation space. I also bought a big battery backup and plugged BM into it. There was a power outage a few months back that rebooted all the servers, and BM was down from that. I wanted to try to avoid that in the future. Here's my in the weirdly surreal colocation space where BM lives.

I hope we can search Amazon.com soon. There are books that the uk site doesn't accept. Honestly, hand entering is such a hastle, that I avoid it whenever possible.

I've joined many years ago but never got to actually use the site until now and I'm glad the site is still being maintained! Finding the latest blog post was a bit difficult because the default sorting preference is kind of all over the place. It's also really nice that the whimsical illustration of creatures throwing books with limbs and faces is still in the front page. I love that illustration and have always associated it with Bookmooch.

John, thank you for years of BM. I have a problem. The site now charges me as if I am an out of county person. Thus, a book casts 3 points and requiires that the person giving tit agree to send it to "my country." Help and thank you. Elizabeth Cooley
