As a sinologist it didn't tell much to me, I'd definitely more interested in reading less fluff and more crunch, and definitely more on the Chinese side and less on the Microsoft one.
Also, there is a patronizing undertone when writing about the Chinese I find really irksome... see the very beginning, with excerpts from 'the leading Chinese-language science and technology newspaper' translated almost literally, with the result of transforming standard Chinese into broken English.
It feels a bit too much done on purpose for my taste.
