Marianne (Australia) (2007/08/06): Karin Slaughters latest offering does not disappoint. It has been described as bone chilling. From lawsuits to methamphetamine trafficking to white supremacy groups, with a bit of skeleton-in-the-closet thrown in for good measure, this one is full of suspense. We join our Grant County cast some six months on from where we left them in Faithless. Sara and Jeffrey are married, hoping to adopt child. Lenas violent boyfriend is in jail. The scene is Reese, Ga, Lenas home town, where her escape from custody after being found at the scene of an explosion leads Sara and Jeffrey become increasingly entangled in a web of nasty happenings. We get to learn a bit more about Lenas past. I wont spoil the ending, but I will recommend that you visit www.karinslaughter.com to read the authors letter AFTER you have read the book. It might help
.The bonus chapter at the website is also worth downloading. This was a real cant put it down novel, highly recommended. Cant wait for the 7th Grant County novel!
