Wretched! Not so much a sequel as a ripoff that sucks all the 'light, bright, and sparkling' out of Jane Austen's original characters, throws in a lot of melodramatic and unlikely plot devices, and makes the whole thing less enthralling than staring at wallpaper. I suppose one could say that it takes talent of a sort to make Elizabeth, Darcy, and Wickham so dull and unlifelike. Also, the author is badly in need of a proofreader, a copy-editor, and a grammar book.
