i cant say that I would recommend this book to anyone. It took about 140 pages for the guy to even start on his journey to walk across the country. And not to ruin it for anyone, but guy did not make it to where he was traveling, not even close. Such a good author , such a suckie book, glad I got it from the library so I can take it back.

I started this book and finished it in a little over a day. This was a definitely "can't put it down" read and I will be getting the second book in the series from the library ASAP. Richard Paul Evans always seems to write books that catch your attention and hold it from beginning to end and this was indeed true of The Walk. You just know as you read that there is so much in store for the main character Alan as he traverses the US in search of answers and relief from his emotional turmoil.
