Excerpt: Pasila is a Finnish humoristic animated series for TV. This computer-animated series portrays a satirical view of the life in Helsinki at Pasila police precinct. The series is made by mostly the same team that made the award-winning series The Autocrats, a political animated satire. In 2007, Finnish Broadcasting Company YLE sent Pasila to compete for the Montreaux Golden Rose. Lieutenant Kyösti Pöysti The main character, depending on the episode 30 or 31 years of age. He is single and cannot commit to long relationships. He is always sucking on a pacifier, except when he's drinking booze and sometimes when he visits his friends. He wont say why he sucks on the pacifier. His therapist has said that Pöysti's mental age is 5. Repomies has said Pöysti is dysfunctional. Initially, Pöysti denies this, but in the episode Deputy Mayor he admits to being emotionally dysfunctional. Pöysti's method of operation can be described as psychological: He finds the sore spots of criminals by going through several options and uses them to crack the perps or not. Sometimes he goes for overkill, like provoking people to jump off the roof or arresting innocent people without grounds. His motive may be that someone or something gets on his nerves for example when hes hung over. Pöysti hates TV presenter Juhani Kontiovaara and his Good Morning, People show. He likes to play video games when on duty. His favorite song is Paranoid, and he loves watching Madventures and The Sopranos. He is often late from work because he sleeps.Precint captain Rauno Repomies The Captain of Pasila precinct, a man with a moustache and heavy medication.
