Reviews: Chris (United Kingdom) (2010/01/14):
To me, James Patterson is like a legal "drug" that has to be taken daily.
As always, Patterson delivers a page turning novel with his excellent character Alex Cross who has now joined the FBI.
Cross's first case since joining the FBI has his new colleagues perplexed. Across the country, men and women are kidnapped in broad daylight and then disappear completely. These people are not being taken for ransom,Alex realizes. They are being bought and sold, and it seems The Wolf is the master criminal behind this terrible trade and is bringing a new reign of terror to organised crime.
In my opinion, Patterson can't go wrong. I think it important to read the Alex Cross novels in sequence, in order to follow his personal life, and the criminal links that follow each book.I can't wait to read the next book--London Bridges. I know it won't disappoint.

Dovile (Lithuania) (2010/10/12):

Alex Cross battles the most ruthless and powerful killer he has ever encountered--a predator known only as the Wolf.

Alex Cross's first case since joining the FBI has his new colleagues stymied. Across the country, men and women are being kidnapped in broad daylight and then disappearing completely. These people are not being taken for ransom, Alex realizes. They are being bought and sold. And it looks like a shadowy figure known as the Wolf--a master criminal who has brought a new reign of terror to organized crime--is behind this business in which ordinary men and women are sold as slaves.

Book 9 in the Alex Cross series.
