Debi (USA: UT) (2009/07/30): Very interesting concept in a book. It makes yo uthink twice about who Shakespeare really was.
Leece (United Kingdom) (2009/09/16): Great book - loved it.Good pace and twists. A bit Da Vinci Code - esq
soniaandree (France) (2010/09/30): I liked it, it is better written than D. Brown's novels, and if you like Shakespeare, you will have a good thriller in your hands. A knowledge of the history of England, especially of the late Victorian/Jacobean era would be a plus, or maybe watch the 'Tudors' series, since a lot of the historical feuds/enmities mentioned have their origins in Henry VIII's time.
Ruth (United Kingdom) (2011/10/17): I need to balance the good reviews, because I thought this was absolutely dreadful! I wasn't in the least bit interested in any of the characters, couldn't follow the tortuous relationships either in the present day or in the flashbacks to the 17th century, and didn't care about any of it. It's clearly modelled on the Da Vinci Code, but while that wasn't great, this is awful.
