I read this book when I was twelve (I'm now sixteen), and I really loved it. It was great learning about the sickness and how it affected people then.

As for as historical fiction for kids, this book is ok I think. It gives a very good description of the yellow fever and what happened when it hit in 1793. It has it's ups, but I believe it could've been better. It wasn't a book that I couldn't put down I more or less felt I had to finish it. (although I do not know why I forced myself to do so)
