The plotting is excellent as usual. The characters, however are not as clearly drawn or believable as I am used to. What really put me off was the constant explanation of digital terms and acronyms.

Even though the book was written in 2001, I still think he went too far in assuming we, the readers, were basically idiots when it comes to the world of computers and the internet.

However, I did stay hooked until the end which has more than one surprise for the reader. I'd say, "Give it a try unless you think you would be put off by the over-explaining mentioned above."
