Caroline Cooney, who is best known for engrossing psychological thrillers like The Face on the Milk Carton and Driver's Ed, with this book has written a furiously paced mystery that teens will not be able to put down. Intriguing situations and breathless escapes are layered one on another, until the action rockets to a satisfying conclusion with a roundup of the bad guys--as well as clean diapers, a warm blanket, and a bottle for the baby. --Patty Campbell
