All that lives in the desert around Mineral Springs are lizards, motorcycle gangs and drug addicts. So it is odd to find a corpse in a burned-out Rolls Royce. Homicide cop Blackpool would rather avoid the case but is told to handle it personally as a private commission by the victim's father.
