I liked how the characters were very seasoned. This is a very deep and stimulating read, with a lot of conflict and drama. It goes by fast, and presents a lot of mature drama. I was reading another novel at the same time as this one, and I found this one much more engaging and interesting.

What I did not like:

The ending was kind of depressing, and it was a little slow towards the end. But just a little. For me, I was kind of freaked out at the ending. It was a little scary.

Overall:

Toni Morrison's book is a very, very good book. The characters are all very well made, the plot is more than very good, and it's written in a style comparable to poetry. For me, though, it was a little freaky. But that's just me. If you are the type of person who enjoys classic novels with a lot of drama and events in it, then you will definitely enjoy this! If it's unavailable to mooch, you can just find it at the library. Since my library had it, I believe that most others will have it also. Enjoy!
