Dee (USA: NM) (2006/10/11): In this particular novel, Nelson DeMille tries to solve the 1996 downing of TWA flight 800 over Long Island. Was it a mishap, terrorists as a precursor to 911, or a government conspiracy? Witnesses swear they saw a streak of light going up to meet the craft. The official version was a spark in an empty fuel cell. The book is fast paced and full of surprises as Corey tries to outsmart the entire Justice Department.
If this were a movie, it might be rated R. Some hanky-panky and swearing. Just so you know.
Jean L (USA: KS) (2011/04/05): This is a very exciting novel based on the crash of TWA Flight 800 which exploded a few minutes after takeoff on July 17, 1996. On the fifth anniversary of the crash, John Corey, an ex-NYPD detective, and his wife Kate Mayfield, a career FBI agent set out to reopen the case. This is a terrific page-turner.
