A slow start, but what seemed like a good story until the ending which made a complete lie of the blurb on the back "committed a crime for which she will spend the rest of her life trying to atone". In my opinion, she didn't try to atone at all, apart from a bit of a nursing. Guess I don't need to try any more by this author!
