Reviews: gail (USA: WI) (2008/12/04):
I loved this book....and read it almost nonstop to the final page. The writing is tremendous. It is the story of a 9-year old boy, who loses his Dad in the 9/11 attack on the Twin Towers. This was not just any Dad--he was a marvelous Dad-friend-confidant who invented stories and made life wonderful through the relationship he built with his only child, Oskar. Oskar's story will make you think and think about anyone you've ever loved and lost, and more importantly, about anyone you want to keep in your life forever. "You can't love anything more than something you miss." This is an extremely captivating and incredibly satisfying story. The photos and strange markings and odd little entries in every chapter, will keep you turning the pages to find out what it all means. Mr. Foer is one of the best authors I've read in a long time. This is a 5-star story.
