Bio:
Canadian moved to Japan to teach English and here I am. Alas, I am illiterate in Japanese. The English section of most libraries and bookstores consists of just a few shelves if at all. Now I am a mother, I covet English books for my son (b. 2009) as much as for myself. However the bookshelf has a capacity so I have the policy to get rid of any books that are not going to be re-read.

I've been reading more non-fiction. I especially like to read inspiring stories showing the strength of the human spirit - stories of survival, travel odysseys etc. Since I live in Japan, I also like books by Japanese writers or about Japan.
