I am an avid reader. It is a habit I cultivated at a young age by visiting my high school library. I sat for hours reading lots of books and borrowed them home. Due to my great interest in books, I became a successful student. Now I am teaching English in Brunei's largest secondary school with a population of roughly 2300 students. I am also one of the teachers in charge of our reading room. It is a small room that I try to fill with great books for the students to read. Unfortunately books are very expensive here in Brunei and there are few book shops that cater to our needs. With a small budget each year, I try to buy as many books as I can. However, we are still in need of more books especially those that are of high interest. I am trying hard to encourage our students to read more so that they can also become a successful student like me. I would be very grateful if anyone would be kind enough to donate books to our school.
