Bio:
I intend to include notes on every book added, so if there's nothing written by me in the condition notes, then I've not yet reached it for an update. If you're concerned about the condition of the book, it's probably best to ask me either when you mooch or beforehand. All of my books are readable, battered or not, but I do realise that some people want their library 'prettied' and might actually care more about the condition than the book's readability.

The number of pages I use are determined by looking at the last page of the story. If there are 6 or 60 pages in the front before you get to the start of the story, I don't count those... I go only by the last numbered page. I don't include extra pages tacked on at the end (addendums, indexes, teasers, etc.) in the count, but I normally indicate when they're present. If there are photo plates or illustrations, I usually indicate that as well, but I don't check to see if they've numbered them as part of the story.

As for myself... I don't mind what condition the book is in as long as you're honest about it. If it's battered and I want it, the battering itself doesn't matter, it's the honesty about it that will count when it comes to rating you.

As for international book requests... you can ask me, but I'm on an extremely tight budget, so it will be entirely dependent on my current financial position as to whether I'll be able to send a book internationally; I will most likely ship by surface mail rather than air to save money on postage costs. That means that the books will take a while to arrive. Surface mail isn't a hard-and-fast rule... I may opt for airmail if it's not much more, but better that you expect surface mail rather than airmail and be disappointed. If you *are* outside the UK, then please allow extra time for me to respond. I wrap the book and take it to the post office to get prices, but before I accept your request I'll want to contact you to make sure you're okay with the length of time the book will take to get to you.

I do get proofs of posting for every book I send out (international or otherwise).
